One thing I’ve imagined before is that instead of using military forces to invade land and kill people and infrastructure, why not use games/sports instead? (I was ~10 then. Don’t judge.) Nobody dies, nothing gets destroyed, people can live on (relatively) undisturbed. Seemed like a much better choice imo. (Yes, it has as many flaws as there are atoms in the universe, but again, I was ~10 back then.)
