The area around senate square was the work of Carl Ludvig Engel.
It’s cool to see the old classical, jugend, and then new modern architecture all in downtown. It’s like seeing a city/country finding an identity and then redefining it’s identity through built spaces. You get a good tour of this if you take the 4 from katajanokka to Töölö.
