It’ll be weird as fuck when Ratcliffe on Soar closes and presumably gets demolished, that’s a landmark for a good 20 miles around in any direction. Quite like driving right past the coal piles as well.
Feel like pure shit just want the pits back xxx
Pretty outdated for Spain. Only 3GW of coal power remain installed to be phased out in 2025.
Poor Belgium
There currently aren’t any active coal plants in Austria, but funnily enough the “green” energy minister wants to bring one back now.
“Uranium fever”
Outdated, Portugal closed their last coal power station last year
/laughs in oil shale/
The British coal plants highlighted are a bit misleading. At least one of them is being decommissioned (Knottingley) and another burns solely renewables these days (Drax)
The data is from 2018, which is quite old for such a topical issue. In Austria, for example, none is active any more.
And soon, we’ll be getting more of them! Thank you green party <3
