Is this a rare occasion over there? I’m moving to Ireland next year from Oklahoma and I can’t imagine living in a place where the sky doesn’t try to swallow up the entire town, drop baseball sized balls of death on your head, or look like you’re standing in a plasma globe at least 20 times a year.

Lighting must have hit the church near me, angelus (audio not bells) went off at around 5 am
I absolutely loved it last night. If there’s one thing I miss in Ireland it is a good summer thunderstorm.
Nice shot, last nights storm easily had the most frequent lightening I’ve ever seen in Ireland. Dozens of flashes and it was every couple of seconds for a while but I wasn’t close enough to see any streaks/forks like this.
