Since that has led to confusion and discussions here before: It doesn’t matter wether you are religious or not or wether you feel to belong one religious group or not. The only thing that matters are facts, most importantly wether you officially belong to the catholic or protestant church.
1) Have you been christined/baptized?
2) If so, have you officially left church and received paperwork to confirm it?
Don’t leave it blank. Write in “keine” , “konfessionlos” or “ohne Bekenntnis”. While they all convey the same meaning, I would ask your case worker for the preferred term.
