Took the tour up the lighthouse with a few friends. A cool spot for an hour.
I’ve never seen the water like glass like this. There were people paddling in off the roads and swimming around. (Which always seemed like an tiring method of suicide to me, considering there was at least one cave under the headland at one stage)
I’ve also never seen it this busy. People were camped out on the rocks in tents and camper vans having barbecues, or walking down the road with their too-small swimming shorts hanging off. It was rammed.
Went down to the beach day before and even at 10am the Baginbun carpark was overflowing – we went to Carnivan instead which was busy but not rammed.
It got a lot busier by the time we left, with cars overflowing into the nearby field (Whether they were supposed to or not, I don’t know)
And good luck getting through the village. So, Many, Cars.
