I really feel for people living in large estates where these bikes zoom around at all hours of the day. Insane levels of noise, no care for safety of other road users, pedestrians and even themselves.
Makes you laugh that if the police do this here in the UK, people call for their heads. Yet the police do this all the time in USA and no one says anything.
If people are breaking the law and trying to ride off on a bike, then the police should knock them off. If they end up badly hurt then that’s their own fault, they shouldn’t be running from the police and breaking the law.

They started doing this for stolen bikes and for the cunt thieves that were riding without a helmet because they knew the police wouldn’t chase them.

Finally. These types of groups have been driving round aggressively for ages around Sheffield. A few of them appear to be linked to organised car theft groups. With the bikers spotting the desired cars during the day, and taking photos to come back later.

The ‘fuck around’ stage appears to be coming to a close in South Yorkshire.
We are now entering the ‘find out’ stage.
As someone who rides (legally), these dickheads need to be stopped. Ride by crime is reaching pandemic levels across the country and clearly the current way of dealing with it is not working.
In no way should they be effectively immune to consequences because they are on (an often stolen) bike.
Properly trained pursuit officers, specially trained for these types of manoeuvres should be doing this when and wherever it is appropriate to do so.
Perhaps once these muppets realise that they can and will be stopped by a Police force with the appetite to do so they will inevitably move onto their next method of carrying out their crimes.
Whilst this will not magically cause these types to give up a life of crime and magically become model citizens, anything that can disrupt the commission of a crime will inevitably make their life’s more difficult.

Hardly “ ramming” just refer to previous stops in London a few years ago when police were given permission to use these tactics to see what proper ramming is. The problem being if the riders are not quickly dismounted they will ride away unhindered.

Good. There are huge rallies of bikers in my area every couple of weeks – no license plates on half of them, doing wheelies on the pavement and cycle lanes, doubtless uninsured.
If they get hurt, I literally don’t give a fuck. They brought it on themselves and this is necessary to protect people trying to live lives without being cunts.
I suspect this is one thing that people on both the left and right of the political spectrum will support.
