In some areas it’s definitely not been as bad as many predicted.
Some articles effectively said that the financial sector would die and the UK would become an irrelevant player and that tens of thousands of jobs would move to the EU, but that’s barely happened at all.
(Some other areas are as predicted or worse though, obviously).
Its difficult to know what the actual impact has been given the COVID impact is exponentially higher.
There clearly will be significant disruption for those that trade with or employ from the EU.

I don’t think anyone can take Conservative politicians seriously on EU exit issues any more. It’s a sort of religious thing. They *believe* that the holy Brexit was a success, in the same way Christians believe that Jesus turned water into wine. Objective evidence doesn’t enter into it.
