Wonderful place, was there last month. This and the entire Mani region (+Elafonisos) have become my new favorite place in Greece, can’t wait to go back.
Mainland Greece has so many unknown gems, that oftentimes deliver a more authentic Greek experience to visitors! I always urge people to give it a try and not immediately skip to the islands
Those rocks! Damn. In Peloponnese the rocks near the sea, especially in places like monemvasia and so on, are deadly. I can still hear my mother screaming “PUT YOUR FLIP FLOPS ON RE BLAMMENO”. You don’t wanna fall on those rocks. You re gonna need stitches.
Peloponnesian seas and beaches are by far my favorites. Especially in the southeast. Raw beaty and fierce sea. Not for the faint hearted.
Did you find a place to park?
Limeni is very beautiful. But very crowded during August.

Spent three months every summer (Greek school hols rule!) in the Mani region for years.
Lots of great things to see. Lovely clear waters, mostly pebbly beaches where I used to go, in the “inner Mani”, aka the only real Mani!!
Tourist amenities have improved massively since the 80s, 90s as well
