Why does the average tory, who are mostly fairly normal people, like mid managers, even nurses and train drivers, not raving right wingers believe in Truss. She has really deranged policies. Either they are listening to another narrative or being got at. I am genuinely mystified. No “all tories are x or y” insults please.
For many Conservative party members voting is a simple black or white decision.
On the bright side, she has the charisma of a morning coffee shit, so maybe the next election wouldn’t be so bad after all…
I’ve got a personal bet with her lasting 9 months, once winter hits and people really start kicking off, they’ll start to turn on her and she’ll be out by the end of spring.
What people are forgetting is that a good proportion of Tories will remember that Sunak was one of those who started the ball rolling that led to Boris’ resignation (the leader that gave them brexit and a massive majority).
For them Jeremy Corbyn could be standing for the leadership of the Tory party and they’d vote for him because Sunak is seen as someone who stabbed their leader in the back.
Reminder, this is like 0.9% of the population..
And its Tory membership which can literally be anyone in the world as long as they pay £25.. and don’t need to show any type of voter ID
