Part of me wants us to do nothing about climate change just to see if humans could manage to push the world out of an ice age.
Covid was a good global catastrophe rehearsal for climate change. Our response to Covid was a complete failure. We were saved by some really smart scientists who invented a vaccine in record time.
I don’t think any scientists are coming to the rescue this time with a magic pill For climate change.

I really don’t get why people care so much about denying climate change. Like seriously, even if you think it doesn’t exists why do you even care to be so vocal about it ?
You can’t convince climate change deniers that they are wrong but you can convince them that we should be moving to renewables.

49 years old here. 30 degree heat is absolutely not normal for this country. 28 degrees was the best you could ever hope for on the best summer days. 1995 was one of the best we ever had (as was 2018), but even then 28 degrees was it, although some got to 29 degrees, but 30 degrees and over, DID NOT HAPPEN. As far as I’m aware, we’ve never had a sustained 30 degree plus heatwave like this before, but we may be in for more of them in the future with global warming.

Just a note to everyone thinking we’re doomed by climate change. If you all just stop flying abroad, stop driving everywhere and stop cutting turf than we’d all be alot better off.
It is misleading to say that. It’s also misleading to say that this summer will be cooler than every summer following it. That’s not how climate change works.
