It’s funny, not so long ago i noticed that Rohan is a town in Kharkiv region of Ukraine.
Where Shire?
Rohan odpowie. Zwołać Rohirrimów
What I think is the analogy is a bit flawed. Gondor is considered a more developed urban and industrial country, Rohan is a steppe, which is more like Ukraine.
We here in Gondor wouldn’t mind an army from United States of Valinor lead by Gil Galad joining the effort 😉 also some elven armies from Finnlorien and Great Britainvendel (United Elven Kingdom) would do fine, and ofc some DeustchDwarven armies on battle Leopards
I think Poland is not Rohan, it is Dol Amrot. rohan is belarus, which is now under spell of Sarumanshenko
Nie wiem gdzie jesteś albo kim jesteś ale cie znajde i zajebie
Well to be fair Rohan and Gondor had an actual alliance.
This is dope, where can I buy this? would love to post it on my wall as an art piece.
beautifully done
Yeah and this Gondor has a bad steward just like in the books.
Just to clarify: the green spots around the isengrad are potato fields
Do you really think this is funny? Could we please not have memes based of off violence and suffering? People are being torn apart by artillery fire the moment I’m writing this comment and yet you post shit like this thinking life is a game or something.
Ukrainians are bleeding; cities are being mowed down, civilians and soldiers are tortured getting killed, often times in gruesome ways. Do you think a movie reference is appropriate? Especially that – sadly – while Poland does help financially, sends arms and helps refugees, for us it’s nothing but a proxy war. Poland isn’t keen on actively joining the war. So even if our goals are somewhat in line, they are not fully in line. For Poland it is more important to weaken Russia than preserve Ukraine. It’s not really Rohan-Gondor-Mordor dynamic.
Wait what in which century are we on
We all know how it’s done: Get two hobbits to summon the Ents from Fangorn to take out Isengard. Then you need one strong man to lead an army of dead to conquer the ships of Harad while the others go help to defend Minas Tirith. All the while you send two sneaky hobbitses carrying a ring into Gorgoroth and towards Mount Doom. (Remember not to get lured in by Minas Morgul that stands in your way nor let Cirith Ungol defeat you, afterall you got the light of Eärendil in your pocket). After Minas Tirith is saved you gather the rest of your troops and march to Morannon. This is done to turn the attention of the enemy away from its own land and to enable a safer passage to your two little friends and ta-da you’ve won the War of the Ring
we will destroy a dum in the Isengard
Kalingrad = Isengard
For some reason I am getting real Winged Hussars vibes…
Lithuanian ents getting ready to destroy Isengard
My pet theory is that story arch is allegorical for the first crusade. Rome had already fallen to the Visigoths and Constantinople was being invaded by the Turks.
When Constantinople called on Rome for help their answer was “Uhhhh… so where were you when the Visigoths torched Rome?”
It wasn’t until the western pope called it a religious issue instead of a political one that anybody got interested in bailing the Byzantines out.
It makes sense to me as a major theme in LOTR is dominion and Tolkien had talked about Europe’s history of being “invaded from the east.”
So if the ring is a metaphor for the pilgrimage of the soul, then the war of the ring is a metaphor for an actual pilgrimage.
And yeah, Ukraine has been invaded from the east, a lot.
