Abbas is right that Israel are committing genocide, but I’m not sure about his maths.
Apart from this instance which is clearly wrong, I also have the feeling that terms like holocaust, genocide or fascism are being thrown around in such an inflationary way in political debates that they are starting to lose their meaning. It is possible to condemn terrible events in a powerful way without having to compare them to some other terrible historical event.
I first thought that the Swedish pop band has said something *really* controversial
Palestinians should obviously be more considerate of Germany’s delicate feelings when complaining about the occupation.
