I was offered a flat in Meath from the council turned up to find people still living there.
I’m back on the waiting list.

I am skeptical to whether this was accidental incomptence from departments. You should follow this page, they keep the spotlight on these events in the DP centres. I reckon people at the top probably knew these people were in these buildings and they’re moving ukranians into their beds while DP aslyum seekers huddle on the floor with strangers (probably for some grandstanding bullshit as mentioned by others here). Racist attacks there also by security. I was surprised to see racism is live and well at an institutional level. It’s so upsetting. I am also very skeptical about what the irish times are writing these days, very biased towards protecting people enjoying power.

No issue with taking in Ukrainians whatsoever but it’s getting to the point where we’re running out of space for them and people already living here.
