How much waste do European households generate per year?

  1. In Serbia we keep and re-use most of the plastic packagings. It’s very common that your grandma sends you cookies in icecream pack or that you open choco cream and find kajmak or pig’s fat. I think that’s the case in most of the Balkans as well.

  2. These numbers seem all over the place, most countries are fairly similar, except in the east, and what the hell is going on in Iceland?

    This definitely seems like the kind of map that needs more explanation, how is household waste defined for example. Is recycling counted?
