Most of EE tries to be neutral or friendly to China because we like money and don’t care about geopolitics on the literal other side of the world.
Gets on the USA’s good side
17+1 has failed to produce a noticeable impact on CEE region, USA refocusing on China and some countries of the region want to remain relevant outside of acting as a bastion against Russia which is a secondary topic for Biden, changes in Lithuanian and Czech governments after last elections with liberals taking power contributes to change of their stance.
