Youre letting us down a bagful here boys, jesus christ🫣
Just Nordies doing Nordie things.
Those same lads were probably giving out about the bonfires in July aswell. For a United Ireland to happen we have to rise above this shit
The Assembly meeting where they sit down and work out funding for the 12th and this past weekend must be fun.
“Right DUP here is £10,000 for you to pay for a band to play the famine song, and upto your knees in Fenian Blood.
Right SF here is the same to you for “Tiocfaidh ar la, sing up the RA. Feile is becoming a bit too much cross community so book the Wolftones for the Falls road.
We will both act outraged about what your side are doing but feck it, it keeps the division in tact and division means votes, votes means money. “
This is fucking thick. Loyalist depravity is a gift to the nationalist movement, what a stupid thing to do
Amazing how loyalists and republicans, save for the location of their toasters, are not all that different from each other.
As someone who grew up in Derry it’s worth noting that Nationalist bonfires aren’t as big a thing as they used to be. Back in the 80s/90s there were a lot more of them and the organisers had no qualms about building them in the middle of busy roads. For a few years there was always a bonfire on the Foyle Road, one of the main roads in and out of the city.
A lot of community groups did a lot to organise events around the 16th to distract children and teenagers away from helping to build bonfires e.g. the Gasyard Féile and other local events. Admittedly some of the dissident groups have obviously tried to undo a lot of that progress, but luckily they have only limited success.
Admittedly, it doesn’t look great but it isn’t as bad as it used to be. Plus, its worth noting all the mainstream political parties and community groups on the Nationalist side actually discourage bonfires.

An embarrassment to the Island.
