Exremely overrated. Sheep’s meat boiled to death with some cabbage and black pepper, and a tiny bit of salt..
Pinnekjøtt, on the other hand – now, that’s some good use of sheep’s meat.
I think us Norwegian know what food we have
Too early! September!
Getting close to that time of year, but not yet. It is too flipping hot now lol.
As someone planning to move to Norway, I definitely appreciate the post.
I have questions though – I assume it is made differently (different seasonings) depending on who is cooking. Is that correct?
Are different parts of the sheep used, or always the same parts?
When a person takes a bite, do they typically try to get both the meat and the cabbage in one bite, or do they typically take a bite of only meat, then only cabbage?
If you’re u sure how most people do it, I’d like to know how you personally season it, and consume it.
Thanks in advance!
This is one of the best thing you can eat in the autumn!! Food for cold days in beautiful Norway!!
Wow it looks different, it is unique
I’m from Norway and that’s one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted
Stupid simple, and stupid good!
the smell and taste of this have always made me want to vomit. i think i even have. fårikål and boiled fish give me this reaction all throughout my childhood and adulthood. it is some of the wors thing ever i can eat
At least it’s not the sheep’s head 😂 That one crops up and scares me every once in awhile
Why not Reindeer.
Tastes Good, Less Filling.
Oh wait, thats Bud Light.
Still the question looms, why Sheep and not Ribbe, is it location?
In Philippines we call that Bulalo 😋
Heaven allmighty I can smell this picture ❤️
Finest meal in the wold
In my opinion it is one of the worst of Norwegian food, only beaten by kålruletter. But each taste are different so enjoy!
We always had moose meat, and would use that instead. Different taste, but good. «Elg i kål».
