The Brexiteers don’t care; they’ll just move the goalposts somewhere else or blame the EU.
Yeah but we’re now free to do trade deals with Vanuatu and Easter Island.
Yeah, but blue passports!
(were never blue anyway, could’ve been blue while in the EU and are now designed in Belgium and printed in Poland)
It’s all project fear and remainers’ fault for botching the brexit. The sunlit uplands are waiting for us just beyond the horizon. Look carefully, with a telescope and you’ll see them. All you have to do is to believe, and uncle Jacob will bring them to you.
I always prefer official sources to newspaper articles
Warning! it’s a long read, but very informative if you have an interest.
Still livid. Still heartbroken.
Brutally clear message :
“while the average advanced economies trade was 3% higher than before Covid, the UK’s remained 12% below. “
tHeY nEed US MOrE tHAn wE NEeD thEM!
Will of the people.
Customs is a fucking joke right now. Item sat in there for weeks according to tracking, gets approved, then sits there for another week.
Would be handy if websites claiming to be UK based actually stored in, you know, not Belgium atm. Thanks Brexit I didn’t vote for!
“Must be those 15 brown guys in that dingy” – Average Brexit voter
It’s all somebody else’s fault.

I really don’t think dancing around and saying “I told you so you stupid racist fucktards” is cutting it any more.
I’m starting to feel we need truth and reconciliation enquires in order to move forward – if indeed there is somewhere forward to go now.
Oh no, if only there had been experts warning us for years that this would happen /s
This should be fact checked.
Comparing to the ONS, this article shows wildly different data
ONS data shows Goods Import/Export by £bln from 2019 through to June 2022.
Whilst it could be argued that the article’s mention of VOLUME over spend/income could be correct, Volume has no bearing on GDP.
For this article to be true it would mean that despite a big drop in exported Volume, the Exports have continued to grow, which means the export VALUE has increased.
I thought official policy was that nothing is, was it ever can be the fault of Brexit?
Brexiteers are morons, real facts don’t affect their opinions.
Won’t everyone stop for a moment and think of all the sovereignty?
It tastes delicious. Good thing since we’re in a drought and smashed all our trade systems to hell.
“This wasn’t the brexit I voted for!” The twats say. Funny how it’s exactly the brexit I voted against.
Interesting to see the significant decrease through 2016. Potentially impacted by the initial result.
Given the way the Brexiteers turned on each other when they one did give the impression that the whole enterprise had the whole “cluster fuck” vibe. The Tories were in power well past their sell by date in the 1980s and 1990s thanks solely to the efforts of the British Tabloid press who were cheerleading the whole leave the EU with all the finesse of the cheerleaders in Debbie does Dallas. If David Cameron had not done the greatest act of political hubris in British history, when he really should have realised he was a shit negotiator. Theresa May had all the authority of a do not spin dry and Boris was breaking in wife number 3 while looking for more totty. No we have the delights of Liz Truss and Rishi Sunnak whose manifesto is a disaster of biblical proportions, fire and brimestone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling. Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes. The dead rising from the grave. Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together and mass hysteria.
Can we say told you so yet ?
nothing else of significance has happened since brexit has it? and nobody else in Europe is having a bad time either. nothing to see here folks
Depends on who the Brexiteers are.
The more unstable and deregulated the country is the more meat the rich ones can pick off its bones.
Turns out terrible plan is terrible.
The youth were never given a chance to vote. That was vote fixing.
Not to fear, I’ve got some believerbucks right here. Worth exactly one teabagging session from your choice of brexiteer, including fascist fan favourites Nigo and Bozzer.
So what? We’re buying British a bit more and serving as an import hub for the EU a bit less. Most of the shortfall could easily be goods that we never got any value from and immediately continued into the EU, while using our infrastructure and putting additional burden on our roads.
Some sour, bitter, remoaners on here
Great for disaster capitalists and those in the know regarding how things would go though. Brexit was for the select few to benefit from, not the millions of average people who voted for it.
“You’re just Project Fear!”
Screamed the Brexiteer,
At the oncoming train.
The amount of Lies and vitriol directed at the EU to get Brexit over the line, Guaranteed it to be a failure. Building a house on shaky ground and all that.
dont blame brexit. blame the politicians who tried to block everything and make brexit a failure.
At what point do we stop the doom gloom Brecit posts, and instead talk about how to improve?
We can’t go back in time and change the outcome. We’re all agreed it was a bad idea. It just seems that there’s a huge portion almost happy to see it fail. Why?
oft who’s going to get blamed for this one 🤣
economic suicide can be like that
The effects of covid are going to last ten years. What the hell are they talking about…
It’s literally still happening or did everyone suddenly forget that?
Article topic aside, the society wide amnesia we seem to have around covid is incredible. Are we sure memory loss isn’t a symptom?

However, i simply call the article bullshit.
