you have it in many of the IC trains. All of the ones I’ve been in (Geneva-Zurich line, Zurich-Lugano) had one of these wagons.
They’re found on SBB InterRegio trains, though not all of them. Also if your family trip consists of a series of S-Bahn connections, tough shit, no playground.
Those cars are in new(somewhat) bombardier trains. Nice, if you take early train and you want to sleep.
I mean, since r/switzerlandisfake…
Not fake, saw one today, and regularly see them on certain lines.
It is real. This specific one is one the new Fv-Dosto trains and only on the IC version. These run on the IC1 from Geneva to st. Gallen, IC2/IC21 from Zürich/Basel to Lugano and IC3 from Basel to Chur.
There’s also a different type of playground on the old double decker trains, which run on many IC and IR lines, the most notable probably being the IC8 from Romanshorn over Zürich to Brig or IC61 from Basel to Interlaken.
Yes, you’ll find one at the end of almost every IC train. Although they don’t have bright green seats like that.
You can always find them running between Luzern and Konstanz and l think Luzern and Geneva
It’s real. I’ve seen some on the IR90 when it had double deck coaches. Though the ones I’ve seen are not as funky as the playground depicted. I haven’t really bothered turning back while traversing the train trying to not fall down in a turn :p
definitely real, got to see some of these in my recent across-europe trip…very nice addition to keep kids happy during long train rides
I think I’ve seen them in Zurich area
Yeah the SBB Tickipark wagons!
Can cofirm it’s real and it’s awesome. I have small kids and we often plan our train rides according to the availability of those coaches. You can usually find them on the IR or IC trains. On the SBB app those coaches are marked “FA” (Family area) and on the electronic board on the platform those coaches are marked by a teddy bear. You can also identify those coaches from the outside as they have giant animal stickers on them.
I’ve seen it on the train that goes to Zurich airport. I still remember it as I found a toy rabbit that has been following me ever since.
My favourite thing is getting into the small house and watching outside.
I seen like 4 there in these long distance double decker trains
I’ve been to one with my kid.
I have seen multiple it times. It s pretty common at least with the two floor train lausanne to geneva

Think I was on one from Zurich to Geneva, it was themed in blue and a bit dark… upper deck, if I remembered correctly
i took the train today to olten and this train had it as well in it, so, not fake! 🙂
I saw this first time this week after 6 years spend in Switzerland. I was impressed.
I see them almost everytime in Geneva
That’s so cool! We just spent 6 nights in Switzerland with our 2yr old. Wish I had known this before! Switzerland was so magical and so very kid-friendly.
Between Lausanne and Montreux or Geneva, I think I see that most of the time, last coach in the back.
No sir. You just gotta be lucky to see one. But jokes aside I have seen a couple of those playing rooms.
Ah, so many memories!
Yet they always bring their little plagues into the regular coaches, do nothing to stop them from screaming and block the corridors and exits with their strollers….
This bruv has never been in the legendary globiwagen.
The main nonstop Zurich to Luzern trains have one of these cars. You can tell from the animals painted on the outside.
Not fake, see it all the time
Yes it’s real I have seen some. Not all trains but some routes
This is legit
Tiki wagon. Pretty much all the IC have them
Very regularly saw them. In the interregio trains, notably the one that connects Bern and Zurich
I accidentally ran into one of these. I was traveling Switzerland and was looking for a seat in a very busy train, so I kept going backwards on the train and it got louder and louder, then I entered a train car exactly like this, it was the most chaotic thing I saw there.
I’ve seen them fairly often while on the train from Zurich to Winty via the airport. Very cool and totally ridiculous, I love it.
In America: Fuck them kids.
Yes! From the US and our train to SaaS Fee had one of these. It was amazing.

They dont usually look this funky. But they are on almost every bigger train at the very back, with cartoons on the outside: https://images.app.goo.gl/9QqzcHokS16LqDZG9
This just unlocked memories I didn’t know I had

[Here’s the official page on travelling with kids](https://www.sbb.ch/en/timetable/travel-advice/travelling-with-children/train-children.html), the family coach section mentions which connections have one of these.
