View of the Port city of Algeciras, my reward after what I thought was a 4 hour hike but it turned out to be 8 hours, taken during the heatwave. The mountain across the sea is in Morroco. Totally in love with Andalucia after travelling around for 2 months in the area.

  1. Edit: the mountain actually seems to be The Rock of Gibraltar. Oops!

Just wanted to add that Spanish people are really friendly and so generous. The food of Southern Spain is great, even my husband who isnt used to eating seafood really loves the fresh seafood, supermarkets here stock really good quality meats and fish and veg (compared to Germany where we live). Quality of life here seems really good.

Also how to Spainiards deal with the heat? I see people all dressed up casually walking around not affected by the heat at all, while Im a sweaty mess melting away. I grew up in hot and humid south east Asia and even I can’t deal with it!

One problem I notice is people throw trash everywhere, even when there are tons of dustbins in every place I’ve been to in Spain.
