UK, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. NASA image 2018. Tags:Europe 13 comments Wow, province of Zeeland really stands out! Was born right in the middle! In case people are confused. the picture is basically rotated 90 degrees clockwise compared to a normal map. The rivers you see in the middle of the pictures are the “Scheldes” The lowest one flows towards Antwerp. The other ones are linked to the Maas and Waal rivers. across the sea you can see England. The big patch of water right in the middle of the Netherlands is the “IJselmeer” Which used to be the “Zuiderzee” This used to be a sea and we built a big dam to turn it into a lake (fresh water) Then we drained the lake quite a bit and we made the new province of “Flevoland” Also Germany and likely Luxembourg. Sense of scale; the crossing between UK and France at its shortest point is 33km. Rotterdam is easily recoqnizable. Wait, Flevoland is real? I can see my house from here! That little protrusion called Noord Holland is my happy home ☺️ I can see my house from here. I can see my house…. sorta Actually quite a bit of Germany and Luxembourg too Flat I’m in this picture. That’s a weird sensation. Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
