PwC says graduates do not need a 2:1 degree to work at the firm

  1. Companies now working out that intelligence and talent will give them the edge over competitors with employees who can only regurgitate irrelevant information.

  2. I wouldn’t get too excited if you got a 2.2 from demonfort uni and didn’t do an internship and haven’t got any notable achievements. It will mostly be the Russell groups that will take preference if you have an interesting profile, in which case they will let the 2.2 slide.

You have to be deluded to think otherwise.

  3. Even if you couldn’t get in straight out of university – do they not recruit people with industry experience, by which point your graduating score (presumably) is less important?

  4. Id be bored shitless working for PWC, but I appreciate its what some aspire to.

If I had my own company, I’d be looking at people who didn’t go to university- there is incredible talent out there in people, sometimes it’s just not immediately obvious
