For the amount of cash we’ve been hurling at Ukraine since the Russian invasion, someone should be made a folk hero!
Maybe we should create something to become the physical embodiment of the British taxpayer…
Lol that was actually good. And yes he has
They don’t just love him, they idolise him and fully see him as some kind of hero. Really who can blame them, domestic issues aside he was definitely the most visible and outspoken foreign politician in the early days of the invasion/war and he did chuck a metric fudgeton of money at them in military aid. I remember reading some town in Ukraine even voted to rename a street after him.
It’s what happens when you spend your entire time flying off over there; talking about them and chucking money at them.
One of Boris’s many ways to escape the reality of how his fascination with cheese when working at home led to no work by him being done for this country.
Sadly, the Ukranians love Boris thanks to how vocal he has been.
It’s sad they fell for it. He made grand platitudes simply to show off to the world to distract from how shit and incompetent he is. Look at the refugee scheme as a prime example. On paper it was admirable, offering a safe haven in the UK for people fleeing war.
In reality, he’s taken advantage of the British publics generosity and compassion for a meagre 350 a month which is nothing in the grand scheme of things. We’ve already seen reports of Ukrainian families separated or facing massive delays due to visa applications going slowly, people abusing the system to take advantage of refugees, and break downs in relationships following a settlement resulting in a growing number of homeless Ukrainians.
We’ve all heard the tories rhetoric on foreigners and the homeless. What will inevitably happen to those whose relocation to the UK doesnt end well wont be a surprise.
Many Ukrainians are going to be left without a lifeline thanks to his pathetic and selfish grandstanding.
I think they would soon figure out he would be most useful as a sand bag

Like Blair in Kosovo and Sierra Leone. Not so much Iraq though.
Yes Boris and by extension are currently very popular in Ukraine. He has a street named after him, there are multiple references to Ukrainian squaddies with British anti tank weapons saying they love Boris, and God save the Queen.
Hardly surprising mind, although there has been international assistance Britain was one of the leaders at sending so called “lethal aid”. Helmets and rations are nice, but if Russian tanks are attacking your hometown, the leader of the country who sent you the missile system with which you stop them them is probably your favourite.
Blair had a similar popularity in Kosovo iirc.
Any chance they might take him?
Have they got a big country house he can shag and do coke in?
They love the brand. He is visible globally, even if you know nothing about him, you know who he is. Like merkel or macron. We know who they are, even if we don’t know if they are popular or hated domestically.
Also it looks like ukraine have gone from Russian commandos in Kiev to pushing Russia back and taking out bases in crimea. It’s now when Russia surrender rather than if ukraine will be the first of many.
That’s not possible without the weapons they have been gifted.
Looking on the Ukraine subreddit, seems like Boris is liked, which is fair enough. From what I’ve read (by searching google and restricting to results from before 2022), even Zelensky wasn’t super popular on that subreddit previously, but obviously he’s extremely popular now. Eg look at this thread from 2021 [https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/m34r4e/is_volodymyr_zelensky_a_good_president/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/m34r4e/is_volodymyr_zelensky_a_good_president/)
