No. Stollen is not supposed to be eaten fresh out of the oven, but rather something that is kept for at least a week before you eat it. So it’s normal to eat it cold.
No, the powdered sugar is going to melt and get sticky if you do it.
If stored cold (outside or in the basement), the various aromas might become more distinct and appreciable if you bring it to room temperature before eating.
Some also like to *dunk* Stollen in hot coffee, tea or maybe even in hot
milk or chocolate.
But you don’t serve Stollen warm.
Try warming it up in a toaster oven and smearing some butter on it. You will not regret it!
Depends.
If you make Christstollen Hawaii, you neet to put it in the oven for the cheese to melt, so it gets warm anyway.
Cheap Christmasstollen-Slices hast to be warmed up like Toast. Otherwise it is not consumable. I swear!
This will probably get my residence permit revoked, but stollen is absolutely amazing toasted.
I’ve lived here for 16 years and I’ve never heard of Stollen…I guess I’ll head back under my rock
Nooo
Cook it in water for at least 3 hours, then add two liters of the cheapest red wine and some spices (doesn’t really matter which) and you get the finest Weihnachtsmarkt-Glühwein. 😉
