Would this be a likely name change? I am pretty sure his wife’s name was Florence as well. Do these make sense coming from poland RU?

  1. Yes, first names are direct translations/equivalents.

    Although Antoni’s surname would be spelled “Płoński” in Polish.

Sometimes people really ask silly questions here, it’s enough to look up the Polish word “Antoni” even on wikipedia to find out that it’s the equivalent of English name “Anthony” and that for example Catholic saints called in English “Anthony” have their Polish equivalent as “Antoni”. Not to mention the names are so similar so I can’t really get why you could ever doubt it.
