We just found this symbol painted on bricks in our garden. We live in a village close to Uppsala, our garden is facing the forest. Any idea what this could be? Is it a mark for burglars?
Burglars mostly mark things that the people living in the house would change/move, so they see houses that nobody have been in since they scouted the area.
You’re optimistic if there is a national burglar symbol dictionary for Sweden so we could tell if that means “house has expensive TV”, or “people who live here are squares”, or why not “vitt och fräscht”.
Looks like someone painted a small object on it, but that doesn’t make much sense in this context.
I found this old article https://www.expressen.se/omtalat/nyheter/det-betyder-de-hemliga-koderna-folk-hittar-inristade-i-sina-dorrkarmar/ about burglars leaving marks like that (swipe on the video at the top). I would usually say that people are over reacting when finding things like this and people say that it is burglars but honestly it doesnt seem impossible. I guess you just have to hope that the mark means “nothing to steal here, move on”.
It’s a symbol for the special operation the snails have planned to free you from your tomatoes

It means the house is owned by the devil
