What do you guys call these in Luxembourgish?

  1. I heard different names for them like;
    Koseng,
    Grefer,
    Grep(p)er,
    Schnaak

    A lot Luxembourgish people won’t know any of those names except maybe “Schnaak”.

    Usually people refer to them by calling them “those weird, goofy flies with long legs”.

  2. In my family, we call them “Schneiderbitz”.

    Now that I’ve read the other names in this thread, I feel weird.

  3. Schäiß Houeren, Blöden Blutsaugschäißdreck, Gottverdammten Minivampiren, Fléiend Arschlächer,… I’ll come back when I find some more

  4. Fun fact. A chap at work didn’t believe that we call them “daddy long legs” in England.
    Cue an Irish person at the same time who confirmed the fact.

    I’m now in the process of getting “papa langues jambes” (sorry if my French is wrong) spread throughout the country.
