Actual question, is there a minimum time for something to be nostalgic?
How can you be nostalgic for someone who hasn’t even left yet? Thats literally just continuity, not nostalgia.
I’ll give them that, Liz Truss is indeed making me nostalgic for Boris Johnson
Doesn’t someone have to actually fuck off first before you can start feeling nostalgic for them.
And I don’t just mean fucking off on holiday (twice).
They’re both liars, they both sold out for power, they’re both awful finicially, they both make u-turns, they’re both attention seekers and they both have no fucking clue how to fix the issues with this country except to blame immigrants and woke people.
God , imagine being that bad you make people want boris back
Yes, she’s that bad.
Boris is coming back isn’t he. Fuck.
Perhaps the Tories shouldn’t have been so eager to promote incompetent sycophants and people who were willing to trade their morals for personal loyalty while rewarding failure or stagnation with promotion.
The end result is that they now have absolutely no-one capable of being seen as a better candidate for PM than one of the worst and most divisive Prime Ministers the country has ever had and utterly delusional morons like Nadine Dorries and Jacob Rees-Mogg in positions of influence and power.
Thing is the Tory membership didn’t really turn on Boris Johnson for his politics or scandals. The people who defended him through… too much stuff to list, won’t necessarily have turned on him after the Pincher scandal or see him as an electoral liability compared to Truss and Sunak.
The ministers turfed him out because of the by-election and local council election defeats suggested he was a liability. But that’s because he had annoyed too much of the entire population, rather than his base within the membership.
It’s mad to think that the two candidates are so bad that people actually think Boris staying on would be better! Why does that say about the state of politics these days?
It’s a sad world we live in. Same is happening in the US. The republicans don’t have anyone so putting up Trump again in 2024 could definitely be an option
Who had enthusiasm?
No. Nostalgia implies fondness. Not going to happen.
Tories is a party of backstabby bitches. No surprise.
