Pay the bloody workers more for the love of all that is holy and they’ll be happy to do the job.
This happens more than you think. Maybe not whole units but services where I have worked have been scaled back at times due to lack of staff (often caused by COVID exacerbating an already understaffed department). Many wards already operate on bare bones staff, losing more to low wages and the increased stress of the job is going to make this a regular occurrence soon.
Oh dear people aren’t willing to work stressful jobs for a poverty wage
