Very cold in Scandinavia. Minus 40 in Sweden (Danish article)

    -40,9 during the night in the Swedish town of Naimakka and the temperature is minus 41.5 before noon, and possibly even lower now.

    Minus 36.6 for Norway in Kaukeino

    Temperatures are 15-20 degrees colder than average.

    For comparison in Denmark it is between minus 2 and plus 3 degrees Celsius.
    So yeah, we got icy roads and deadly snowballs but no crispy light fluffy snow.

  2. -11°C where i live. Coldest i’ve been in is -28°C and that was a bit too cold for me. Can’t imagine -40°C, let alone the world record at -89°C
