My employer recently spent months negotiating our contract to supply to the UK government.
We spent so long negotiating details and almost zero time negotiating our price. So we put in that the price we charge would automatically increase by RPI each year – because otherwise we will have to waste time negotiating a new contract from scratch next year (or be selling at a loss)
So they should, how about freeze them.
So they’ll go up by 10.9% instead of 11%
They’ll probably shave 0.1% off and tell us to be happy about it
So they are going up by 11.7%?
Let’s have the numbers vs inflation since privatisation shall we?
