
Tekla Juniewicz, oldest Pole in history and second-oldest living person died yesterday at the age of 116. Born in Krupsko (now Ukraine) in 1906, she survived two world wars and deportation in 1945. She settled in Gliwice after the war and lived there for the rest of her life.
