Those “leftie” doctors are joining those “leftie” barristers in threatening strike action said a Tory MP or voter somewhere
Good. So they should.
I couldn’t get behind the train staff who need zero education, stand in mass next to automated gates, with electronic ticket machines demanding no one should be made redundant
Doctors and nurses, who if they don’t show up to work tomorrow result in people dying. We should pay them a little bit better then the previous people I mentioned
It’s reported that the government intends to give doctors 4.5% pay ‘increase’. That is not a pay rise, its a pay cut in real terms. Do they think people are stupid? It’s only the brainwashed who cannot understand this. All health professionals who work in the NHS should have a pay increase that is close to the rate of inflation, especially the junior doctors… 4.5% is nowhere near close. The NHS was put under immense operational strain during the pandemic and continues to feel the squeeze so frontline staff need to an immediate pay increase which is acceptable.
With inflation nearing double figures and an increase in energy price cap this winter, many more health professionals, junior doctors will leave the NHS and either go in the private sector, abroad or leave the profession all together.
It’s that or we lose more overseas and find ourselves struggling to recruit internationally some more.
Meanwhile pre registration pharmacists have also had the same wage since 2014 (18440 ) which is below minimum wage
