Belgium should probably invest most in the navy and air force, i.e. power that can quickly be moved to places where it’s needed to help out allies and fix issues before they reach our territory.
Ground-based air defence is useless as chances are slim we’d ever need air defense in Belgium.
When I saw those pics of the international legion with our crusty ass FNC’s, all I could think about was that one time during training I racked the charging bolt and it literally broke off.
This renders the weapon basically useless for anyone wondering.
I really do not understand what FN Herstal actually produces. I mean the FN SCAR are amazing platforms but are they really worth the 5000+ Euro price tag?
