  1. He was a fine man.

Look at all the small chaps out wearing their flat caps and the older crowd in their suits and caps/hats, isn’t it mad how people dressed back then to how we dress now, especially the men.

  2. He’s got one of thise faces where he looks very different in different pictures, I wonder did that have something to do with him avoiding capture for all of those years.

  3. The Pro-Treaty Shinners, who were a bit different to some of the other Shinners, past and present

I believe at 30 seconds is Collins’s family home, which was burned by the Brits during the War of Independence.

  4. This colourisation was done by someone who set up a Patreon to fund a coffee table book. He stated he would donate the profits from the book to charity, but he just released the book and never actually donated the profits to a charity.

Still surprised he got away with it.

  5. Can’t imagine any of our current gobshite politicians pulling a crowd like that.

You can sort of see how Collins had a way with people from that video though.

  6. The thing that always blows my mind about Collins was that he was only 31 when he was assassinated. Can you imagine some lad in his 20s today leading a war against the worlds greatest superpower of the time, forcing them to the negotiating table, and secure a treaty that the majority accepted? Madness.
