  4. Funny and excentric man. He does controversial stuff from time to time, but the part of Prague he’s a mayor in really improved.

Haven’t heard about him for a long time, but 3 years ago he got publicized when he wanted to build a statue of Vlasov army in his town (Řeporyje), which enraged russian media (and lots of czechs).   7. He’s popular for being quite rude, speaking his mind. He knows stuff about many local celebrities and I’d say he even likes to brag about it, he worked in tabloid media, he’s kind of a problematic public figure who constantly has a feud with someone from showbiz.

  9. He’s not exactly a good role model and his morality is…questionable. But he gets things done and he kinda symbolises one big middle finger from Czechs to Russia. I don’t like him as a journalist but as a politician – he’s kinda cool and I respect him for what he’s done.

  15. The joke is that this man, even with his nonexistent social etiquette, a drug problem, questionable ethics and little knowledge of history or politics, still manages to be the best choice and an objectively liked public figure for his constituents.

    Yes, that’s the low point where our politics are currently at.

    I personally think he is a clown, but if his constituents keep voting him in as mayor, they must know why and I have no problem with that.

  21. This person was famous before he got into politics only thanks to his father. Thats why he is called “Protekční spratek” . I know he probably can’t speak properly and its not his fault but when he speaks in public he is not polite and acts like a retard and thats his choice and that was never a good representative behaviour for a man that was or is in one of the biggest politic party in Czechia. Its still kinda weird that it depends on which time period someone posts him here. Sometimes you get downvotes for calling him clown and attention whore which he is and sometimes its the oposite.

I understand that for some he is hero for some of his opinions but many people forgot that he was also lead editor of one of the biggest tabloids/yellow press in country, which for me is just lowest of the low. People who stalk, harass and sometimes even push some celebrities to suicide are worse than regular thieves and corrupted idiots are politicians usually are…

    But often such people end up crossing the line and it turns out badly.

    This January, the criminal court has already given him a suspended sentence.

  29. Oh yeah, this prick. He became known only because his father was a popular comedian and because he forced himself into showbyznys by working for and leading a tabloid. Don’t pay him attention, it’s not like something valuable (or a functional sentence) ever came out of his mouth.

    Simple minded people like him tho, because they think of him as a clown who makes them laugh 🙂
