I left my tiny violin on my desk at work, any one have one they can play right now? it’s just so sad.
Oh no. My heart bleeds for investors.
I’m curious to see where people will put their money now that letting property is less viable and what effects it may have on the middle class. I’m sure we all know someone who has bought to let.
This means nothing to renters. Corporate landlords funded by pension scheme money will continue to buy up housing stock, so this won’t lead to a reduction in rent, or an increase in owner occupiers.
Not in my area!
Properties are generally going 10% over asking. Properties are also lower here than the south of England so people from the south are investing up north… Pushing up house prices and rentals.
Also the yields may not be high for an initial profit but if a tenant is paying your rent on a repayment mortgage then you have a house paying for itself.
No because they will just buy them at higher prices and pimp them out for even higher rents.
Did the papers read “The Golden Age of slavery is over” when they outlawed slavery?
I think the reality is that instead of an average joe owning 1-2 houses and renting them out, a corporation will buy the houses and rent them out instead. If you’re going to rent, who would you want as your landlord? A human being or a soulless corporation?
Many lets are illegal, in that they’re residential properties being rented out, some even make you sign contracts lol.
I feel genuinely sorry for those parasitic middle men who drain society of their money while offering nothing in return.
Ahhh the old website for people who want to milk cash from people who can’t afford to buy, but talks about their cash cows with such disdain.
*Thankfully, house prices are still sky-high, so those who have built up significant equity can still capitalise on their investments.*
