Yeah… because there’ll be massive city wide strikes every day…
TFL usually do a good job closing the stations when they get overcrowded. They’re also staffed properly. Here we don’t have station staff in half of the stations, nevermind working toilets, lifts and the necessary amount of ticket machines.
The Irish mentality of the it done and figure the rest out after will ring through again as usual when the metro comes in.
Why would you build a subway to replicate the small platforms and rounded cars of the Piccadilly line? It’s restricted by the fact it was built well over 100 years ago.
You’d replicate newer underground systems, large platforms, automatic safety doors on the platform etc.
It helps that there’s a train every 30 seconds to a minute.
Great, we can build it but you just don’t use it.
That just looks like scenes at the Dart stations getting to Bray air show.
The safety issue won’t be a risk like it is there on the Dublin metro.
The metro will have sliding doors the whole length down the platform.
Using the London underground was honestly amazing when I was there for a weekend, this video was completely different to my experience
It’s a shame we don’t have underground in Dublin, it made most of the city really accessible
OH MY GOD!!!, did that fecker really tell people to stand behind the yellow line.
This is why platforms have to be future proofed and built really long. Ideally you allow boarding on both sides, though this is rare.
What’s your problem here?
Looks good to me. A little crowded but people seem ok
