Need translation for a song in Podhale dialect

   TBH as a native Pole I can still barely make heads or tails of it. I’ll try to give translation a stab later

   Hej, miała ja se chłopca

   Translation: Hey, I had a boy (boyfriend?)

   The rest I can’t understand

4. I don’t really believe that it’s possible to find lyrics on the Internet. I posted it on a group dedicated to this genre of music and maybe it’ll help.

   To be honest, I’m not really sure if it’s traditional music – it sounds as if it could come from *Jadwisia spod Regli* opera that uses motives from podhalan culture but modifies them.

   This song uses a very specific word – “harenda”. And I found only like three google results related to music with it.

   Anyway, I will keep you informed about the results.

   Hej kie se chołowianskie dziywki zaśpiywajom;
   Hej to sie popod Tatry bucki rozwijajom.

   Translation:

   I had a boy, i had, i had
   but i gave him to others from Horynda.
   When cholowianskie girls sings,
   then bucki under Tatry grows.

   Words:

   Horynda – Harenda

   cholowianskie – from Chochołów (not 100% sure)

   bucki – Beech trees

   So I think lyrics are:

   I had a boy, but i gave him to people from Harenda.
   When girls form Chochołów sings, beech trees grows around Tatra mountains.

6. Thank you for all the replies, even though this song is shrouded in mystery, there’s one more clue I got from the last time I asked about it. Basically the melody of this song seems to be used with another set of lyrics in standard Polish, and this joke version of lyrics is often sing to someone who drink too much. I can’t find that version of lyrics, but that melody does appear in some tiktok videos where one person is drunk. Also it’s sampled in the beginning of another modern song which has black and white MV with people singing and dancing on a boat.
