  1. We’re the best because we don’t cycle.

    There is no infrastracture for cycling, no cycling culture, thus it’s very rare for people to cycle.

  2. This stat is pretty much useless.

    Should be tied to number of bikers or kilometers traveled on bike, not population.

  3. Shouldn’t they normalise for the percentage of active cyclists in a country?

    I fairly sure that cycling in the Netherlands is statistically safer than in Greece, but because there are many more cyclists in the Netherlands in looks dangerous according to this data.

  4. Can confirm, I almost won a Darwin award by biking with my earbuds on near a train track. Never again.

    Some poor guy actually won it later on, rip.

  5. The figures of Netherlands are higher than before because more old people are cylcing on electric bicycles which can go up to 25 km/h.

  6. Considering how super popular cycling is here and that you sometimes can’t drive a km without passing at least one, this is good.
