I’m going on holiday tomorrow, idgaf if my work building is on fire, I ain’t coming back.
If you don’t have a plan, then why rush back to show you have none? Their bills are paid by us, so it’s not their problem…
Of course they don’t. Having to pay more for energy is a minor inconvenience for most MPs – who are wealthy individuals.
Ok, then they can all step down as MPs to let people who will do it.
Because this doesn’t effect them at all, no MP will have to choose between heating or eating this winter – not one.
Even Borris and Starmer aren’t willing to come back.
Yet Gordon Brown came out with a fair solution and all Tory MP’s are shitting bricks because they can either do what’s right for the people and agree with a Ex-Labour MP. Or do absolutely nothing and watch people riot and loot in a couple of weeks.
So they don’t want to do their job? Then they should face the consequences that literally anyone else would face if they refused to do the job they were employed to do.
They want to know who will be the next leader is first, so they know who to suck up to for a Cabinet job.
I’m sure the fact that tories have huge financial stakes in energy companies is completely irrelevant to the fact they’re refusing to tackle the energy cost crisis
