TIL the Stillorgan Dual Carriageway is over 100 years old.
Just to clarify for people – If we take the description of the place where the car was attacked literally, based on the newspaper accounts (one mile on the Dublin side of Stillorgan), it would be where Foster’s Avenue joins the dual carriageway today (which was the Dublin road back in 1922)
Quite close to where they got Kevin O’Higgins 5 years later.
