The Irish Heart Foundation is bringing a petition to the Dail on August 23rd. This petition is in support of Scraping VAT on AED’s.
AED’s are Automated External Defibrillators that can be used in the case of an Cardiac Arrest. They saved thousands of lives already and are one of the most important ways of saving peoples live when they have a cardiac arrest. No prior training is needed to operate them, but it is recommended to do a first aid course to reduce the stress if you are witnessing a cardiac arrest.
Due to those devices costing multiple thousand Euros each, further taxation males them even less affordable for the public. So please take a few seconds to sign the petition below.
The more signatures the petition has the better. So please take 30 seconds to sign the petition and 30 seconds to forward it on to as many people you know. Details are also on social media.

Edit Friday Morning:
Only 700 Signatures left. Thanks to anybody who signed.

Not to question or diminish their importance, because I do think they’re a key part of a community’s health resources, but is there anything to back this up? I always find stats that appear overly inflated in campaigns like this make me question the legitimacy of them.
We have such stupid VAT, paid hundreds in VAT on emergency Vet care for my cat.
