Possibly the next Fatal Deviation

  1. I love the review they quote on the poster “Michael Flatley as you’ve never seen him before” presented like it’s a compliment when it’s just factual like saying “this is a film”.

  2. When you have too much money, go through a midlife crisis wanting to be James Bond and end up making a movie called Blackbird .
99% of people would give up half way or have a woman talk some sense into them… But this guy … He’s not like all others. He’s Michael…Fucking….Flatley.

  3. It actually won the Monaco *Streaming* Film Awards. Which is much less prestigious sounding. And which on preliminary google searches has awarded anyone with a shred of celebrity but within the realms of possibility that perhaps they’ll record an acceptance speech or whatever.

They deemed *No Time to Die* — the James Bond film — the best film in their 2022 awards. Which is certainly a… choice. Also awarded a Mark Wahlberg doc series as the best in that genre. Huh.

Also — I work in the industry and have worked with a few people who worked on this. I’m talking creative team, high up. They took this job as it was top rate pay and accomodation/per diems for months to work in Barbados and/or Jamaica, but they knew it was going to be a shitshow and treated it more as a corporate gig. Not gonna lie, I’d do the same too.

I dunno what the end result of the film will look like and what if anything will be cut, but it is a James Bond knock off right down to Flatley being a magnet for the ladies, and having a scientist dude who supplies him with gadgets lol.

  4. Is this gem finally available for DL and the long pent-up derision and ridicule everyone is just assuming it will deserve? If so post here if it hasn’t please!

  5. I hope there will be a doc about the making of this nonsense. The trailer makes the movie look bad but sadly not so-bad-it’s-good territory, just a tired mess.
