Been following her career for a while. Irish Runner magazine did a great piece on rising stars a few years back, I guess she must of only been 15/16 at the time and already showing signs of greatness. Absolutely deligted for her and all the other athletes in Munich this week.
Immensely proud of the Irish athletes over the last few days! And by the sounds of things there are even more stars about to burst onto the scene! A great period for Irish athletics! Long may it continue!

Only 19, she’s going to get better too.
Has the pace from 100m and 200m. Slightly lacking the speed endurance/strength for the 400m to compete for medals just now. Could see how she faded in the last 50m here.
However, It’s her first year really going for the 400m so with continued focused on 400m training she will surely pick up some major medals in the coming years. Super talent.
She said in the interview afterwards that it was only her 6th time racing at 400m.
Sixth time and she breaks the national record
and finishes 5th at the Europeans.
That’s some talent.
We are smashing it as of late
Both herself and Israel came across so well in their interviews too. They’d make you proud to be Irish.

Incredible performance from Adeleke especially as she has only just started in the 400m hopefully big things to come with the worlds in Budapest next year
Let’s put some serious funding into our athletes for once, we could actually have a decent athletic team.

Fantastic run. Gave it everything. Executed her race really well. Put herself well in contention. She’ll hold her form on that last 100m better in future as she builds her endurance.
The folks who say she’s not Irish are the same folks who prob love Thin Lizzy until they realise oh wait ..🤣🙈🙈
