When you aren’t shy from the face of God…

  1. Better caption should be “Tell me you’re not shy from God’s face without telling me that you’re not shy from God’s face”, or in Maltese: Ghidli li ma tisthix minn wicc Alla minghajr ma tghidli li ma tisthix mjnn wicc Alla.

I mean, with this 3D render, who in their right mind approved this?! Is the ERA strong with the weak, and weak with the strong? Or is the PA hooked on “money talks” porn, where the developers and architects are the men (Joseph Portelli, Robert Musumeci, to name a few), and Malta is the girl, with PA and ERA the cameramen?

Seriously, the construction scene on these islands needs to be sat down and screamed at until it breaks down and bawls its eyes out.

  2. Looks awful, but it’s nothing compared to the way that the more famous manikata chapel has been engulfed by apartments from long range views. The notion of protecting context is still very undeveloped in this country. So is the idea that one bad development can be used to justify another, and so on, until bad development spreads like a cancer.

  3. I live in manikata and Its been in construction for a while, I’m not sure how this surfaced now. Its hideous, yet no one seemed to object??

There’s also a massive field across the valley in the Ballut area that suddenly sprouted a crane and is under construction. Same as near xemxija where there is the tractor seller, a terraced house suddenly became a block of Apts..

  4. Ma nohodiex bi kbira jekk il-flat tat-tieni sular jiftah bieb ghas-saqaf tal-kappella u wara gimgha naraw “Private Property” u l-arja tigi tieghu.

U biz-zobb ta’ enforcement imnejjek li ghandna, jaccettawha.

  5. Nahseb ahjar nifqu nibnu flattijiet li jiswu iktar min haqq Al liba dar ta las Angelo’s u nibnu dar sabiha u tiswa li ma tfaqqrekx Al 4 generazzjonijiet ta tfal
