Turkey doubles Russian oil imports, filling EU void

  1. Turkey will buy a few barrels of Saudi oil and store it in the same tank farm it stores the Russian oil. European buyers will be buying all that “Saudi” oil at a very nice markup to Turkey. No one in Europe will look too closely.

Result: Russia sells as much oil as it ever has at a higher price than it ever has. Turkey adds 20% markup. Europe Imports it. Europeans pay ever higher oil prices

  2. Were still accelerating our move away from fossil fuels with every passing year petronations wil be able to exert less and less influence on us.

  3. Erdogan has destroyed the Turkish economy, so this was expected. He can’t afford not to lick Putin’s boots.

Stopping Russian exports is almost impossible: China and India do exactly the same as Turkey. Stopping Russian imports from the West is much more effective.

  4. Oil in Turkey is crazy expensive, an avarage persons wage can buy around 250 liters, imagine it being 10€/L in Germany. Sadly we are too desperate to oppose Russia
