Hopefully the mother won’t kick her son out and let him fend for himself at the age of 17 like she did with her mentally ill daughter.
>Demi Corry was found dead in a Belfast city centre park last month. The mum-of-two died from a suspected drugs overdose.
>Her sister Shona Fleming and stepfather Mark Lippiatt don’t believe Demi got adequate help.
>Shona said: “Just knowing she was lying at that chair or the seat.”
>Mark added: “It just makes you feel numb, completely numb. Not knowing if anybody was with her.
>”It should have been our own NHS that should have stepped up.”
Or her family?
Why are drugs a better option than life for so many in this nation?
I include booze in that.
It’s a shame we still have such a stigma towards drugs in the UK. I’ve met people who wanted help but were afraid of what people would think of them and then they would spiral out even more. Until our attitude changes towards all drugs things like this will continue to happen. The war on drugs has failed and only continues to make life worse for those effected and bring profit to gangs.
