I think its sad that Germany did this. I know nuclear power is not the best, but fossil fuels are way worse.

Italy be like:
1) build nuclear reactors.
2) hold a referendum which could abolish nuclear energy 1 year after Chernobyl.
3) shut off the power plants despite not having reached the break even point of the investment.
Not only did we take a bad “geopolitical” decision regarding our energy production, but we also lost a ton of money.
Fucking idiots.
Based France
I want more nuclear power.
I was reading about germany and their nuclear plants. The owners of 6 reactors that are shut down say they can start them up in 8-12 months if government say yes. Its a production that compare as of the whole consumption of Denmark.
In Sweden there is some in media about this. Many have a hard time understanding why germany is not going for it.
And even here in Sweden there is discussions about how much time it would take to start 2 reactors we shut down 7 years ago.
Watching my electrical bill and knowing that I pay 1 euro (including tax) per kWh because we exporting most of our electricity to other countries and also germany because they are ready to pay more is leaving me with more questions than answers. Especially because I normally pay like 1-3 cents before this shit started and even lower when we didnt export most of it to other countries and still had nuclear power in south of Sweden.
So sad to see the lack of yellow symbols on this map, nuclear ower isn’t perfect but its not the boogeyman that its made out to be either.
Map is wrong for Croatia because Croatia co-owns Krško plant in Slovenia and gets part of electricity produced
Well, before the war, we in Ukraine made plans for the next 10-15 years to build as many as 8-10 nuclear reactors in order to completely switch to nuclear energy. now nuclear energy is 60 percent.
GJ Germany
facepalm
I didn’t know so many countries have so high % of nuclear.
